About SUPPORT+

“SUPPORT+” is an initiative of the Department of Clinical Oncology, LKS Faculty of Medicine of the University of Hong Kong. “SUPPORT+” aims to support advanced cancer patients and their families in the local community – in the form of a mobile app.

“+” can literally mean ‘families’, ‘positivity’, and ‘extra’ in Chinese. “SUPPORT+” aims to support cancer patients and their families by

  • helping them live positively even if their illness is incurable,
  • positively influencing their course of illness.
  • letting them have extra resources at their disposal.

For better home care, “SUPPORT+” equips patients and carers with up-to-date educational materials on cancer management, palliative care and end-of-life support. Registered users can also record their symptoms and communicate with their healthcare professionals through this app.

Life as a cancer patient can be a difficult journey. Therefore, we are here, to SUPPORT you in a POSITIVE way.

“SUPPORT+” mobile app is fully funded by Bank of China (Hong Kong) (“BOCHK”). We express our sincerest gratitude to BOCHK for their generous support.
