Layered Avocado Coffee Smoothie

Nutritional Value

  • Skimmed milk: increases protein content of the nutritional supplement/drink whilst keeping the intake of saturated fat low.
  • Fluid-based, easy consumption. Mashed avocado plus honey may cover the mild salty taste of the drink.
  • Avocados: nutrient-dense fruits with high level of mono-unsaturated fatty acid (MUFA). MUFA was found to be inversely associated to the risks of oral, pharyngeal, pancreatic, and bladder cancer.
  • Incorporating suitable amount of avocado in smoothie which increases the consumption of fruits and meet the dietary recommendation of consuming 2 servings of fruits per day.
